Privacy Policy

EasyRent is operated by My Realty Real Estate Group, a licensed Florida real estate brokerage. This policy describes what we collect when you enquire about or apply for a rental, who we pass it to, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to be read, not to be got past.
What we collect
When you enquire or book a showing:
- Your name, email address and telephone number
- What you are looking for — budget, bedrooms, area, move-in date, pets
When you apply for a property, additionally:
- Date of birth, current and previous addresses
- The last four digits of your Social Security Number. We do not store the full number.
- Driver’s licence number and issuing state
- Employer, job title, supervisor, income and other income
- Previous landlords and their telephone numbers, and what you paid
- Emergency contact, vehicle details, and whether you have ever been evicted
- Documents you upload: government ID, pay stubs, bank statements, credit report, police record
- Your typed signature and the date you signed; for a Contract to Lease, your drawn signature, and the date, IP address and browser it was given from
Who we share it with, and why
The point of an application is to be sent somewhere. When you apply for a property, we send your completed application and your supporting documents to the landlord and the listing agent for that property. That is the service. Where the property has a homeowners or condo association, we also send the association’s application to the association or its management company.
We also use these service providers, who process data on our behalf:
- Amazon Web Services — stores your uploaded documents
- Resend — sends our email
- Twilio — sends our text messages
- Railway — hosts the application and its database
- Stripe — processes any payment you make; we never see or store your card number
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising. We do not pass it to other landlords or agents for properties you have not applied for.
Screening
We do not run credit checks ourselves. Where a credit or background report is required, it is obtained by a consumer reporting agency or supplied by you, and the report is attached to your application. If you are turned down because of something in such a report, you are entitled under the Fair Credit Reporting Act to be told which agency produced it and to a free copy from them.
How long we keep it
Florida requires a brokerage to retain transaction records for five years, and we keep records of completed rentals for that period. Where an application does not proceed, you may ask us to delete it at any time and we will, unless we are required to retain it.
If you apply for more than one property, we reuse the documents already on your file rather than asking for them again. You can ask us to clear that file.
What you can ask us to do
- See it — ask for a copy of everything we hold about you
- Correct it — tell us what is wrong and we will put it right
- Delete it — subject to the retention period above
- Stop messaging you — reply STOP to any text, or tell us by email

How it is protected
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Documents are held in private storage and reached only through short-lived links. Passwords are hashed, never stored as text. Access to applicant files is limited to the brokerage’s staff, and a client signing in sees only their own file.
No system is perfect. If we ever discover a breach affecting your information, we will notify you as required by Florida law.
Children
EasyRent is not for use by anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. Minors listed as occupants on an application are recorded as a count, not by name or detail.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Where a change is significant we will tell applicants with an active file by email.
